Cheerios Circle of Helping Hearts - Pearl Bracelet Giveaway (NOW CLOSED)



Do you know your cholesterol number? High cholesterol is one of the major controllable factors for coronary heart disease, which is the number one cause of death for women. It is very IMPORTANT to know your cholesterol number.

I am grateful that my husband's insurance covers our yearly cholesterol screenings. I am also thankful that our cholesterol is "impressively" low, according to our screeners (- I think it's because we eat a lot of fiber-rich foods (including Cheerios!) & use olive oil as our main cooking oil).

Sadly, there are many who are unable to receive cholesterol screenings due to limited access to adequate health care.

Look for codes inside specially marked boxes of Cheerios cereal & enter them @ www.cheerioshelpinghearts.com. Now through January 31, 2010, for every code entered, Cheerios will donate $1, up to $200,000, to raise awareness for heart disease and provide free cholesterol screenings for women in need, through its partnership with WomenHeart.

I eat Cheerios....really, we love Cheerios and eat them several times a week.

Great idea for a giveaway! To keep my heart healthy I go up and down the stairs a hundred times a day, and give my kids lots of kisses. And I go power walkingn with a friend a couple of times a week.

Cheerios is my favorite cereal. I love the plain best with berries or fruit added. Yum! Yum! I recently have been doing Zumba and have lost 27 pounds! Now only ahem.... to go...lol

I really do try to watch what I eat as a whole, cuz I still have to have my indulgences too LOL.

We also bike ride as a family on a weekly basis.

You are so right about knowing the cholesterol number and doing something good for your heart health.
We are also going that route, watching what we eat (and include plenty of Cheerios in our diet! :))

I try to use olive oil when ever I can. We take fish oil daily and we watch the rest of the foods we eat. I also drink one glass of red wine every evening after dinner. (I don't drink anything else as I don't like wine at all.) Besides eating well we try and keep fit.
